Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-16
This is the privacy policy for seemyframe.com (the “Site”), a free frame-visualization tool. The Site is designed to do as much as possible client-side in your browser. The only data that leaves your browser to a server we operate are anonymous analytics events; everything else either stays in your browser, lives in your own Google Drive, or goes to third parties you explicitly interact with.
What we collect
Google Analytics (gtag.js, GA4 property G-YX1V8E166T)
The Site loads Google Analytics on every page. Google Analytics records aggregate usage information — pages viewed, approximate location (city level from your IP), browser type, session duration. Google sets first-party cookies (_ga,_ga_*) for this purpose. We use this only to understand which features of the site are useful. You can disable it via browser extensions like uBlock Origin or Google’s official Analytics opt-out add-on, or by clearing the relevant cookies.
Google Identity Services & Drive (optional, opt-in)
If you connect Google Drive to save projects, the Site uses Google’s accounts.google.com/gsi/client library to authenticate you. Authentication uses Google’s standard OAuth flow; we receive a scoped access token that only lets us read and write files in an application-specific folder (appDataFolder) within your Drive — we cannot access your other Drive files. The token lives in your browser; we do not store it on any server. You can revoke this access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Project files saved to your Drive
When you save a project, a small JSON file is written to the appDataFolder in your Google Drive, along with a low-resolution thumbnail (PNG). These files are stored on your Drive — not on any server we operate. Deleting them in Drive deletes them permanently.
Photos you upload
Photos uploaded to the visualizer are processed entirely in your browser; we do not transmit them to any server we operate. They live in memory until the page is closed, and (if you save the project to Drive) as part of the project file’s thumbnail.
URL state
The Site encodes the current frame design into the ?p=… query string so that links are shareable. This data is part of the URL itself; it does not get sent to any server beyond what your browser normally sends in any HTTP request.
Affiliate link clicks
When you click a “Buy on Amazon” or similar link in the “Real frames online” carousel, you are redirected to the retailer’s site with a tracking identifier that lets the retailer credit any subsequent purchase to seemyframe.com. The retailer (Amazon, or any affiliate network we work with such as Impact or CJ) sets its own cookies on that click-through; we receive only anonymous aggregated commission reports from those networks.
Hosting (Vercel)
The Site is hosted on Vercel. Standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) are retained by Vercel per Vercel’s privacy policy.
What we do NOT collect
- Your name, email address, or any other personal identifier you haven’t volunteered
- Payment information (the Site does not sell anything directly)
- Any Drive content beyond the application-specific folder
- Your photos, beyond what is needed in-browser for the visualization
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share the limited data described above with third parties, except for the third-party services that necessarily receive it as part of their function:
- Google — Analytics, Identity Services, Drive
- Vercel — hosting
- Affiliate networks — Amazon Associates, Impact, CJ; only when you click an affiliate link
Your rights
You can:
- Use the Site without connecting Google Drive (anonymous use)
- Use an ad blocker or Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on to prevent analytics
- Revoke seemyframe.com’s access to your Google Drive at any time
- Delete any project from your Drive at any time
- Request information about any data we have associated with you, or its deletion, by emailing the contact below
If you are a resident of California, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with extended data-protection rights (e.g., CCPA, GDPR, UK GDPR), you may have additional rights under your local law. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any modifications; material changes will be noted in a banner on this page for a reasonable time after they are made.
